Arabia - Arid desert with strategic elevations, but sparse vegetation and water.
Archipelago - A group of large islands. You might not be the only inhabitant on yours.
Arena - The walls around your forest clearing are your only protection from the carnage in the middle.

Baltic - An ocean with peninsulas and sheltered bays.

Canals - A network of winding rivers forms a complex web that both connects and divides. Take control of the rivers, but be wary of any flanking manoeuvres from your enemies. The forests surrounding the valley are vast but exposed.
Capricious - Some generations will leave you starving, while others will grant you an endless source of neutral resources. Explore and use the unpredictable environment to your advantage. Adaptation will be the key to victory.
Cenotes - An open land studded with sinkholes but only a few clusters of trees.
Central America - The Aztecs and Maya vie for domination of Central America with invaders from across the sea.
Chaos Pit - Trapped in a forest clearing with no gold in sight, you'll need to carve a path through dense woods to reach the riches beyond. Stay alert - enemies lurk nearby.
City of Lakes - An endless maze of lakes and rivers winding through a sparsely forested desert.
Cliffbound - Arid cliffs encircle the players, confining them within a harsh savannah. Resources are scarce, and space is precious. Early aggression will be crucial to secure a foothold on this unforgiving landscape.
Coastal - Where the land meets the ocean, with plenty of water and a large landmass for battles by land or by sea.
Coastal Forest - With all the towns positioned on the outskirts of a forested hill, battles are certain to ensue both in the barren south, in the dark woods, and on the sea waves in the north.
Continental - A large body of land surrounded by the sea; rivers may separate players and teams.
Crater - In the depths of a Siberian forest, an ash-covered wasteland appears, offering little shelter but plenty in gold and riches.
Crater Lake - An island brimming with gold in the center of a caldera lake. Steep elevation and lack of trees make it hard to build there.
Crossroads - Four forest-capped hills loom at the center, serving as the only source of wood and rendering the paths between them most treacherous.
Crownwood - A land of hills where forests cling to the summits. The high ground makes protecting your woodlines challenging.
CtR Monsoon - One of the three most challenging Capture the Relic maps. There is only limited space to build on as most of the map is covered in endless marshes, which in the coldest seasons turn to ice. The relic stands in the center, enclosed in a sacred grove of trees.
CtR Pyramid Descent - One of the three most challenging Capture the Relic maps. Players appear huddled up around the relic atop a vast pyramid but their monasteries lie all the way on the bottom stair.
CtR Random - A compilation of gameplay-enhancing maps designed specifically for Capture the Relic mode! Dozens of wildly different layouts further challenge the aspects of the game mode, and guarantee an unpredictable, yet highly fulfilling experience.
CtR Spiral - One of the three most challenging Capture the Relic maps. The center of the map has been engulfed in a spiral of deep waters and the only way to reach the relic is to follow the current in long and treacherous circles.
Dingos - Quickly gather all your livestock before the numerous lurking dingos make an unexpected visit. Use the sea to bypass the predators entirely or strategically invite them into the enemy base for a feast.
Dorothea Quarry - A sunken pit with a central water basin brimming with oysters for those brave enough. Scale the surrounding heights to reach the surrounding forests and additional resources.
Dunesprings - Survive the harsh desert, expand into the grasslands, and thrive in the Mediterranean forests. Claim the rich springs, and seize the deep pond in the centre – the choice of when and how is yours.
Enclosed - While initially safe inside the dense rainforest, players must quickly venture out to secure resources on the other side of the jagged unbuildable path.
Eruption - The mountainous volcano holds valuable treasures at its peak, but climbing it will leave you defenseless to enemy attacks from above.
Forest Breach - Some players find themselves trapped within forests, while others immediately clash with their neighbors.
Fortified Clearing - Your forward defenses are strong, but your rear is vulnerable to raids. Secure the central area for a quick counterattack, or outmaneuver your enemies with a flanking maneuver.
Fortress - A walled city with gates and all the buildings you need to build up your forces quickly.
Four Lakes - An ordinary land at first sight, with four serene lakes resting in the corners of the map, it rapidly breaks into a race for control of the much-coveted waters, for they hold the greatest abundance of fish.
France - Re-enact the Muslim invasion and the Hundred Years War.
Frigid Lake - With the ice vanishing around the players, food is easily accessible and plentiful; however, their towns are left exposed and unprotected from enemy raids.
Ghost Lake - The central lake is frozen over, creating a no-man's land.
Glacis - While partially walled, you must leave the safety of your walls to take control of the no-man's-land in the centre of the map; otherwise, you risk leaving all the additional resources to your foes.
Glade - Hidden deep within the dense forest, you must emerge into the extensive clearing to gather resources and establish your dominance. Only by venturing out and seizing control of the map can you hope to conquer your enemies.
Gold Rush - A whole heap of gold and a few wolves in the middle of a desert.
Golden Pit - A ravine filled with gold beckons but its depths loom treacherously as enemies lie in wait on the other side.
Golden Stream - Your starting lands are deficient, but the mangrove river offers a lifeline. Expansion is risky, but the heartland beckons with a wealth of gold. Brave the perils, control the golden centre and claim your rightful victory.
Golden Swamp - A tropical marsh lies at the center of a jungle, enshrouding a small island brimming with gold. The rest of the jungle remains bereft of riches, rendering this swampland too enticing to pass up.
Graupel - Use your transport ship to quickly reach the mainland and settle your base. Despite the harsh weather, food is plentiful. Keep an eye out for where your opponents may have settled.
Graveyards - An eerie environment, littered with remnants of past conflicts. You must navigate the dense mist and secure the vital resources hidden in the graveyards before your opponent emerges from the gloom to challenge you.
Greenland - While food is scarce on the mainland, there is no limit to the fish that can be found near the cold and exposed ice caps drifting in the freezing water.
Haboob - An incredibly open and spacious desert with little to no opportunity to secure your resources. Forest are sparse, exposed and challenging to defend.
Hamburger - The ultimate Easter Egg map. Located on either side of the tasty burger, will you eat through it, or sail around the bun and surprise the enemy?
Hengehold - Stonehenge stands in the center, encircled by relics and roaming wildlife for those bold enough to claim it. The outer perimeter holds many neutral resources and forests.
Hideout - A palisade wall provides only false comfort over the palpable feeling of enemy lurking just around the corner.
Highland - Far from the ocean and heavily forested but with plenty of rivers and open space for maneuvers.
Hill Fort - A fortified stronghold perched on a mountain top may be virtually impregnable but scarce resources and lack of space drive players to expand their empires into the lowlands around.
Hollow Woodlands - Baobab trees mark your isolated haven, a pocket of life within the unforgiving desert. Palm groves and elusive wildlife offer sustenance, but the rough terrain hinders safety.
Iberia - The Iberian Peninsula, including Spain and Portugal.
Islands - Each player starts alone on an island; uninhabited islands may be rich with resources so be prepared to rule the sea.
Isthmus - A narrow strip of desert land flanked by water. Control of the seas will be paramount to harnessing the abundant fish and securing victory.
Italy - Rome has fallen and the peninsula is up for grabs.
Karsts - The open wetlands and rugged karst formations beckon, surrounded by glittering gold and sturdy stone deposits. Secure the riches, navigate the terrain, and emerge victorious.
Kawasan - Food is plentiful but easily exposed to enemies. A massive cluster of berry bushes can be found in the middle, and scattered around the ponds are many relics.
Land Madness - With resources scattered across the map and forests surrounded by unbuildable rugged terrain, walling is nearly impossible and military presence will be crucial.
Land Nomad - Lone villagers looking to settle travel scattered across open land. With no water in sight, they must use all resources they find to build a town and ready themselves for battle.
Loch Ness - A slender river slices the map in half, with a small crossing through the middle. With most neutral resources surrounding the lake, controlling the waters will be crucial for victory.
Lombardia - A handful of cities on opposite ends of a wintry landscape must share, trade and coordinate in their efforts to defeat the enemy.
Lowland - Despite the excellent vantage point, players quickly find themselves running out of resources, forcing them to settle for the more unsafe resources scattered in the deep valley.
Marketplace - You have conquered a great trading post, but enemy soldiers are also looking to benefit from this impressive victory. Use the markets to gain an advantage and vanquish the opposition.
Meadow - The open meadow offers little to no protection. Forests are limited, and players must fight to gain control of the little wood that the flowering grasslands offer.
Mediterranean - An inland sea surrounded by land; sounds deceptively peaceful.

Metropolis - A total of three town centres await your command. You're immediately plunged into a chaotic environment of having to support a significant population. The clash of great empires begins instantly.
Michi - An impenetrable forest separates the teams of players, until one breaks through and draws the first blood on this infamous battlefield.
Mideast - Where continents, cultures, and world religions collide.
Migration - A tiny island that can't support you for long before you must move to the mainland, where the fighting is fierce.
Mired - Rush out of the boggy lowlands to build your town centre and claim the rich wildlife nearby. But act fast - your enemy is close and aiming to do the same.
Moats - Surrounded by a thin strip of water, don't let the false sense of security fool you. It's only a matter of time before you must escape the safe confines and venture out into the unknown to secure more resources.

Mountain Range - With the enormous mountain range dividing the players, it will be crucial to surmount and control the spine of the mountain so that every battle will be in your favour.
Murkwood - Establish your Town Center deep within the shadowy swamps. Resources are plentiful, and the surrounding waters teem with fish and wildlife ripe for harvesting.
Nomad - Your villagers begin scattered without a Town Center or Scout Cavalry. Will you build a town immediately or struggle to find the perfect location to settle?

Seasons - Four distinct seasons cycle through this map, each bringing its own challenges and opportunities. From the harsh winter to the hopeful spring, the bountiful summer and the fruitful autumn - you must adapt your strategies accordingly.

Stonefront - Few resources surround the players. Wealth lies in nearby quarries surrounded by rock formations that make maneuverability difficult. Map control is key to victory.
Stranded - Quickly abandon your starting island to look for more prosperous land nearby. Construct a town center to seize the resource-rich island, but beware of predators lurking in the dense jungles.
Team Glaciers - A frigid river carves a divide in the harsh arctic environment. Endure the harsh conditions, secure the precious resources of the frozen isles, and control the flow of the glacial river to outlast your opponents in this unforgiving arctic battleground.
Team Islands - One island shared by you and your allies, and another inhabited by your enemies. The islands are not connected by shallows, so beware of enemy Transport Ships.
Team Moats - The surrounding streams offer little but a false sense of security. And with little room for expansion, players must soon break out and claim the vast lands around.
Texas - Relive the classic Mayan and Korean skirmish over the Lone Star state.
Thames - Battle along the River Thames. Seize the Royal Albert Hall to gain a unique bonus or control the south of the map for an unlimited supply of gold and stone.
The Passage - A narrow stretch of water separates you from your foes. This narrow crossing is destined to become a battleground. Control the seas and claim the sacred relics hidden in the deep.
Valley - A dried up river stands between enemy towns but also poses an opportunity as animals gather there to gulp down the last drops.
Volcanic Island - With stone scattered around in the shallows, the once fire-breathing mountain has since overgrown with lush vegetation and now awaits to be conquered.
Vulpine - Unbuildable terrain surrounding you makes expansion a gamble. Hunt the roaming foxes for a significant gold boost and chop through the central forest to take control of the secrets within.
Wade - The marshy swamp is too shallow for ships to travel and not suitable for buildings to be constructed. Players must use the limited space and resources to secure victory.
Yucatan - In the tropical rainforest food is abundant, but jaguars stalk beneath the canopy.
